MEET ANTHONY
Anthony D. Dowling, the youngest of 5, was born in Stuart, Florida and lived in Indiantown, Florida until He was 14. As a high school sophomore, he was accepted into the prestigious New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) in Roswell, New Mexico.
Anthony had a desire to achieve and excel in Military discipline, success, and ultimately learn and master what real leadership and character values represent. He spent a total of five years at NMMI, where he received his High School Diploma with honors, earned an Associate of Science Degree in Political-Military Sciences and achieved a rank of Cadet Lieutenant. His character can be defined by “Duty, Honor, and Achievement,” the Institute’s Motto.
After graduation from The Military Institute, Anthony returned to Florida and attended Florida Agriculture & Mechanical University in Tallahassee, where he completed his college education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Reserves.
After earning the rank of 2nd Lieutenant and serving 7.5 years in the Reserves, Anthony returned to home. Since then, He has become heavily involved in the community. He volunteers for community organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of Marin County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Martin County, Harvest Food, and Treasure Coast Food Bank to name a few.
Anthony actively serves and is the youngest board member ever appointed to the Martin County Metropolitan Planning Organization Board. He also actively serves on the Indiantown Neighborhood Advisory Committee, the Indiantown Trust Fund Advisory Committee and is an active Indiantown/ Western Martin County Chambers of Commerce Member. Anthony is member of Temple Beautiful Church of Indiantown.
In January 2018, Anthony ran to serve on the first council in Florida’s newest municipality and in March 2018, was elected to the Village of Indiantown, FL
